Mark Simmons founded Room Service Deliveries in 2003 with the aim of bringing the joy of great restaurant food to people’s homes. The company serves the need of people in Malaysia (and now in Singapore & Indonesia) to have access to delicious and warm food without leaving their homes and without cooking it themselves. Great service, ease and convenience from online ordering has made Room Service a household name over the last 10 years. As Wine Talk’s managing director, Mark constantly plans for effective ways, logistics and operations to make wines more accessible, more pleasurable and easier for everyone.

Edward Hyde, who has an extensive background in food and beverage, has long been passionate about food, dining and wines. He opened his first La Bodega restaurant at Jalan Telawi in December 1999 and has now grown to 9 outlets across Klang Valley. Wine selections have been an essential part of La Bodega’s expertise and unique offering. As Wine Talk’s executive director, Edward travels far and wide to create partnerships with great winemakers and suppliers that result to the best value offering for consumers.
Edward and Mark share the same interests when it comes to giving customers an enjoyable experience and they both love great wines. One day in 2012, in the La Bodega restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, it occurred to them during a discussion that a lot of people, including those who have been enjoying wines for a long time, do not have an easy access to finding great or even just good wines.
With Edward’s access to great wine and Mark’s experience in smart logistics, they came up with the idea of having wines delivered to your doorstep. But, take note, not just any wine. It had to be pleasurable, great wines with great value. And how could they assure this quality? The answer was David Stephan.

David Stephan is a French sommelier with broad knowledge and experience with wines. Born and raised in France, David was practically drinking wines with every meal. He has traveled to different countries, explored thousands of different wines and developed an expert taste to identify great ones.
Aside from having professional education and background on wines and sommelerie, what makes David extraordinary is his passion for sharing great wines. He has been in the industry for more than 15 years and he still continues to make wine a wonderful experience for everyone. As Wine Talk’s GM and Chief Sommelier, David continuously explores and searches for great wines. He firmly believes that anyone and everyone can find pleasure in wine without complication. With his knowledge, experience and passion, David does all the work required to make all of Wine Talk’s wines have a distinct mark of great quality and satisfaction. This makes wine selection easier for customers. On top of that, David extends his personal advice and service to anyone who needs assistance on wines through Wine Talk’s customer service.
